A storyteller who blends energy and passion with statistics and a dash of humor, Jason Guerette is currently the Director of Broadcasting & Media Relations with the Southern Illinois Miners of the independent Frontier League of Professional Baseball. He also broadcasts women's basketball at Manhattan College in the Bronx, New York in addition to men's and women's soccer at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT).
Influenced by play-by-play voices such as John Sterling, Chris Carrino, Gary Cohen, and more, Jason caught the sportscasting bug as a teenager, and while a student at Seton Hall University, he called baseball, basketball and soccer contests for the student radio station WSOU-FM.
A lifelong communicator and native of New Jersey, Jason has also broadcast baseball with the East Texas Pump Jacks (Texas Collegiate League) and Northwest Indiana Oilmen (Midwest Collegiate League), handling media relations in addition to play-by-play. He has also called basketball, soccer, and volleyball games for St. Francis College in Brooklyn, New York.
